How Mina the Hollower Mirrors Work

Mirrors are portals scattered across Tenebrous Isle. Each one leads to a room inside the Astral Orrery — the sixth and final main region of the game. Entering and activating mirrors is the only way to explore the Astral Orrery and restore its Spark Generator.

Common mistake: Simply entering a mirror is not enough. You must find and activate the gold mechanism inside each Astral Orrery room. If you leave without hitting it, the mirror does not register as unlocked and Mirror’s End will not connect to that location.

How to Enter a Mirror

You do not press an interact button. Instead, hold the movement direction into the mirror for a few seconds. Mina will phase through the surface. If you just tap the direction once, nothing happens — hold it until she enters.

StepWhat to Do
1. Find the mirrorMirrors look like tall ornate frames with a reflective surface. They stand upright against walls.
2. Hold direction into the mirrorFace the mirror and hold the movement stick / D-pad toward it. Hold for 2–3 seconds.
3. Reach the gold mechanismInside the Astral Orrery room, find the gold mechanism and activate it. This registers the mirror.
4. Return or exploreWalk back through the same mirror to return to Tenebrous Isle, or continue deeper into the Orrery.
Story requirement: You need at least 3 mirrors activated to progress through a key story area in the Astral Orrery. Do not skip them — you will be locked out of progression if you ignore them.

All 6 Mina the Hollower Mirrors — Locations

There are 6 enterable mirrors hidden across Tenebrous Isle. A 7th mirror exists in Ossex but is the exit from the Astral Orrery — it cannot be entered from the outside.

1. Radiant Manor — Grand Hall

Mirror 1

Region: Queensbury Crypt area

Location: Inside Radiant Manor, in the Grand Hall. The manor is accessible early in the game — this is often the first mirror players find.

How to enter: Hold into the mirror from the front. The Grand Hall mirror is visible on the main path through the manor.

2. Queensbury Crypt — Statue Head Hall

Mirror 2

Region: Queensbury Crypt

Location: Deep in the crypt, in the Statue Head Hall. You pass through this area during the main dungeon route.

How to enter: Hold into the mirror on the wall. The room contains large stone head decorations as a landmark.

3. Bone Beach — Worm’s Back

Mirror 3

Region: Bone Beach

Location: In the Worm’s Back sub-area of Bone Beach. Look for it after crossing the bone-strewn shore sections.

How to enter: Standard hold-into-mirror entry. The sandy environment and bone-piled rooms are the area landmark.

4. Coltrane Peak — Icebound Cavern

Mirror 4

Region: Coltrane Peak

Location: In the Icebound Cavern, accessible from the main ice dungeon path. The cavern is distinguished by its frozen walls and slippery floor sections.

How to enter: Hold into the mirror. Watch for the Mirren secret boss carriage nearby — they share the same general area.

5. Nox’s Bayou — Moonlit Path

Mirror 5

Region: Nox’s Bayou

Location: On the Moonlit Path, a section of the bayou lit by reflected moonlight. The mirror is on the main exploration path through the swamp.

How to enter: Hold into the mirror. The swamp lighting makes this mirror easy to miss — look for the reflective frame in the dimly lit corridor.

6. Septemburg — Farm House (Crow Town)

Mirror 6

Region: Septemburg

Location: Inside a Farm House in the Crow Town section of Septemburg. This is the last mirror geographically and typically found latest in a playthrough.

How to enter: Hold into the mirror inside the farm house. Crow Town is recognisable by its scarecrow-filled outdoor sections.

The Ossex Mirror (Exit Only)

Cannot Enter

There is a 7th mirror in Ossex. This mirror functions only as an exit from the Astral Orrery back to Ossex. You cannot phase through it from the Ossex side — it is one-directional. Do not waste time trying to enter it from the outside.

Mina the Hollower Mirror’s End — Fast Travel Explained

Once you have activated mirrors in the Astral Orrery, you can use Mirror’s End as a fast-travel network. Each activated mirror room connects back to its source location on Tenebrous Isle.

Mirrors ActivatedWhat You Unlock
1–2Access to those Orrery rooms; no fast-travel network yet
3 (minimum)Story progression unlocked; Mirror’s End begins working as a travel hub
4–5Expanded network; more warp destinations available
6 (all)Full network: warp from any activated mirror to any other in seconds; complete Astral Orrery exploration unlocked
Backtracking tip: Once you have all 6 mirrors active, you can cross the entire map in a few seconds. Use this to revisit areas for missed trinkets, secret bosses, and collectibles without walking back through cleared regions.

Train Stations — The Other Fast Travel System

Mirrors are not the only fast-travel option. Train stations in Ossex connect to surface locations across Tenebrous Isle. The train network is separate from the mirror system and becomes available earlier — check the station board in Ossex for available routes. Some trinkets in late-game areas can only be reached via the train.

Mina the Hollower Mirrors FAQ

How do you enter mirrors in Mina the Hollower?

Hold the movement direction into the mirror for 2–3 seconds. You do not press an interact button — Mina phases through after a short delay. Tapping the direction once will not work; you must hold it continuously.

How many mirrors are there in Mina the Hollower?

There are 6 enterable mirrors: Radiant Manor (Grand Hall), Queensbury Crypt (Statue Head Hall), Bone Beach (Worm’s Back), Coltrane Peak (Icebound Cavern), Nox’s Bayou (Moonlit Path), and Septemburg (Farm House / Crow Town). A 7th mirror in Ossex is the Astral Orrery exit and cannot be entered from outside.

Why isn’t my mirror unlocking fast travel?

You must activate the gold mechanism inside the Astral Orrery room after entering the mirror. Just entering is not enough. If you left without hitting the mechanism, re-enter the mirror and activate it. Fast travel also requires at least 3 mirrors activated before Mirror’s End becomes a travel hub.

Do you need all 6 mirrors to beat the game?

You need at least 3 mirrors activated to progress through a key story area in the Astral Orrery. All 6 are needed to fully explore the Orrery and restore its Spark Generator. Missing mirrors will leave sections of the Orrery inaccessible.

What is the difference between mirrors and train stations?

Mirrors connect to the Astral Orrery and form the Mirror’s End fast-travel network. Train stations connect surface locations on Tenebrous Isle — they are a separate system. Train stations become available earlier and are useful for revisiting regions; mirrors are required for Astral Orrery access and late-game exploration.
